My Favorite Christmas Eve Books to Read With Your Young Students

Christmas Eve is arguably one of the most magical nights of the year for those who celebrate. I have fond memories of the vivid picture books illustrating Santa’s mysterious midnight adventures.

I’ve compiled a list of some of my nostalgic favorites that I’m gifting to my friends’ children this year!

One of the best! Ah! My heart still swoons over memories of this book. It’s a fun spin on Santa Claus’ identity, and is especially scrumptious for us New Yorkers as it takes place in NYC!

What happens when you find a crocodile under your tree? This is a funny story everyone is sure to enjoy!

A New York Best Seller, this story will remind you of the magic of Christmas as it follows little girl Anja through a relatable journey trying to find Father Christmas.

We all remember this one, don’t we? Nothing feels more magical than The Polar Express! Although I will admit, it used to scare me a bit when I was younger…I’m not sure why…

I always LOVED the art in this book! Pure magic!

Also The Night Before Christmas, this book is great for native Spanish-speaking students or young learners of Spanish as a second language! The familiar story will not only bring comfort but also higher comprehension.

Have you read any of these books? Which is your favorite?

As always, I must acknowledge that as an Amazon Associate, I earn from qualifying purchases. But I also encourage you to check these titles out at your local library!
