What a customized lesson can look like (ft. Napoleon Bonaparte)

An example of a typical customized lesson, one of my advanced 3rd graders and I had so much fun learning about Napoleon Bonaparte together!

I shared this lesson FREE (linked below) because it is such a great way for students of many ages to get to know the historical figure of Napoleon.

Now, because this lesson was customized, it focuses primarily on Napoleon’s presence as a military leader. My student loves to learn about military strategy, battles, and historical weapons. The mini-lesson I shared includes links to videos where students can watch animated battles unfold (but they might need some help following).

The slides also encourage students to make predictions on whether or not they think Napoleon was victorious or lost. They should base their predictions off of the information provided on each slide. The answer is covered up by a black box for an exciting reveal!

I hope that you will find this lesson as enjoyable as we did!
