Celebrate International Women’s Day with Malala Yousafzai

I remember distinctly being a young teen and hearing about Malala Yousafzai getting shot by the Taliban. At the time, I knew very little about the political atmosphere in Western Asia beyond buzz words like “taliban” and “burqa”.

Years later, Malala Yousafzai is still breaking boundaries and making the world a better place.

This lesson focuses on Malala Yousafzai’s story, while educating students on Muslim women’s experiences, and is centered around a podcast episode produced by female professors of criminology.

What a better way to celebrate but with a presentation on this incredible women using resources produced by women!
